The Peregrine Filmmaking Workshop

If your child has an interest in screenwriting, acting, filmmaking, or all of the above, sign them up for our newest summer program, the Peregrine Filmmaking Workshop!

The Peregrine Filmmaking Workshop is a two-week introduction to the fundamentals of the movie making process, from scripting to shooting to editing. During week one, students will learn basic cinema theory and practice while writing an original short screenplay of their own.

Week two is production week. Participants will choose which student screenplay they would like to produce, and then rehearse, shoot, and edit the footage using digital editing equipment. The finished five to ten minute film will be screened for friends and family at the end of the second week, and each student will get a DVD copy of the movie to take home.
